Students will learn about chromatic song
Students will know about metronomes & learn the use of it in exercises as in sargams.
Students will know about scales & so it will help them in playing/singing melodies better.

Introduction to Thaat - (Bilawal, Khamaj, Kaafi, Aasavari)
Finger exercises with Thaat as in Sargams.

Course Outcomes -
Students will gain knowledge about scales & notes in Indian & Western music.
Students will know about the Thaat & what role it plays in music.
Upto this level Students will surely have increased strength in playing melodies.

Students will have increased within the mentioned Thaat & songs.
Students will know about the scales.
With the end of this one year course, Students will have knowledge about notes, different types of scales, Thaat, Indian & Western Music, names of above mentioned topics & also will learn to play 5-10 songs.
